Spring at the Wolverine Valley

The Wolverine Valley is thawing nicely this spring. Not too fast and fast enough to get us all excited about the upcoming season. We havent been skunked once travelling up the valley bottom and noticing wildlife everywhere. The winter has been exceptional on the animals with whitetail, mule deer, elk and moose showing themselves on a daily basis. Another week or two and we will be graced with the presence of the resident Grizzly and Black Bears awaking and foraging for there spring breakfast. We hope to have our satellite internet dish up and working by mid June and will be able to update our blog directly from the Valley.
Looks like we have met a friend here at base camp. A local pine martin has decided its allot of fun to walk on the cabin roofs at night and scratch the doors keeping us awake between 1:00am and 3:00 am. He seems to enjoy fining our fresh milk outside when we hide it on the snowbank while our propane fridge is fixed.
